Denny Hulme’s victory in the 1970 Glen Can-Am was the most difficult race of the New Zealanders career. He had burned his hands at Indianapolis in May and to compound the problem, the track was in very poor condition. Hulme’s famous #5 M8-D is shown entering the Esses, with the landscape behind stretching for miles. This is view of Seneca Lake and the Village of Watkins Glen is one of the most scenic backdrops in the racing world. Painted by artist, Robert Gillespie.
